Tools I Use
I like tools that are fast, reliable, and get out of the way. Here’s what I’m currently using.
Hardware
- MacBook Pro 14” — M-series chips changed everything. Silent, fast, all-day battery.
- Apple Studio Display — Not cheap, but the best screen I’ve sat in front of.
- Keychron Q1 — Mechanical keyboard with a satisfying thock. Gateron Brown switches.
- Logitech MX Master 3 — The best mouse for productivity. The scroll wheel alone is worth it.
Software
- Neovim — My editor. Took a while to configure, but now I can’t use anything else.
- Wezterm — Fast terminal emulator with great font rendering and Lua config.
- Arc — My browser. The command bar and spaces are genuinely useful, not just novelty.
- Raycast — Replaced Spotlight. Fast app switching, clipboard history, snippets.
- 1Password — Password manager. Non-negotiable.
This Site
- Astro — Static site generator. Fast builds, zero JS shipped, great content layer.
- Cloudflare Pages — Hosting. Free tier is generous, deploys are instant.
- iA Writer — Where I draft posts before moving them to markdown files.
Photography
- Fujifilm X-T5 — Small, beautiful, and the film simulations are unmatched.
- Fuji 23mm f/2 — My most-used lens. Sharp, compact, versatile.
- Lightroom Classic — For editing. I’ve tried alternatives. Nothing’s better for the workflow.
